EP Series — Emergency Pressure Relief Valves

Pilot operated emergency pressure relief valve for precise low-pressure tank relief.

The EP Series pilot operated relief valves are designed to provide precise pressure sensing even in the face of minor tank pressure fluctuations. These valves spring into action when the differential pressure across the main valve diaphragm is at its minimum — specifically tailored for low-pressure settings in emergency relief situations.

The relief system relies on external pressure, utilizing Nitrogen gas to ensure unparalleled accuracy in low-pressure set points. Compared to weight-loaded valves, the EP Series offers much better shut-off when tank pressure is close to the set pressure, preventing vapour losses.

Key Features

  • Precise Set Point Accuracy — High resolution adjustment with very high capacity for small pressure buildup.
  • Superior Tight Shut-Off — Far better shut-off than weight-loaded valves when tank pressure is near set point.
  • Easy Field Maintenance — Robust design — actuator internals and trim replaceable without pipeline removal.
  • Tamper Resistant — Adjusting screw lock nut with protective cap standard on all units.
  • Economy Installation — Pilot interconnection pre-tubed from main body, eliminating site tubing runs.
