B42 Series — Pilot Operated Upstream Regulators
Pilot operated upstream back pressure regulator with high-gain piloting for gas, liquid, and corrosive applications.
The B42 Series pressure regulator is designed for gas and liquid applications, utilizing high-temperature ethylene propylene for Class-VI shut-off. For corrosive applications, perfluoroelastomers and other elastomeric materials are available on request.
Multiple pilot and main valve combinations cover a wide range of pressure and flow requirements. NACE-compliant materials available for sour gas service per NACE International Standard MR-1075.
Key Features
- Low Buildup Capability — Minimum buildup pressure required for main valve to achieve wide-open flow.
- Fast Speed Response — High gain piloting system for faster response than standard piloting systems.
- NACE Compliant Materials — Optional materials for sour gas applications per NACE International Standard MR-1075.
- Tight Shut-Off Capability — Special trim design eliminates wear and erosion for long working life.
- Differential Control Ready — Pilot ready for differential back pressure control with simple field conversion.
- Easy Field Maintenance — Compact design — valve disc, pilot, and trim replaceable without pipeline removal.
- Tamper Resistant — Adjusting setscrew locknut and protection cap discourage pressure setting tampering.
