CR02 Series

The Series CR-02 pilot is a specific type of pilot valve that is designed to work in conjunction with the CR-Series valves as an upstream pressure control valve. It is primarily used as a relief valve in natural gas pressure regulating skids to relieve excess pressure in the process line.

  • Single-Stage Operation:
The pilot valve operates as a single-stage pressure relief valve, meaning it has a single control stage for relieving excess pressure.
  • Diaphragm Operated:
The pilot valve utilizes a diaphragm as the operating mechanism. The diaphragm responds to changes in pressure and controls the opening and closing of the valve.
  • Excess Pressure Relief:
The main function of the Series CR-02 pilot valve is to relieve excess pressure in the process line. It ensures that the pressure in the system does not exceed the desired set point, providing protection against over-pressurization.
  • Creep Relief Valve (CRV):
The Series CR-02 pilot valve is specifically used as a creep relief valve (CRV) in natural gas pressure regulating skids. This indicates that its primary purpose is to address pressure creep, preventing gradual increases in pressure in the natural gas system.
