CR Series

The CR-Series pressure relieving upstream pressure control valve is a type of general-purpose, self-operated valve used to control various fluids. These valves are designed to open proportionally when the inlet pressure exceeds a pre-set value, relieving the excess pressure and maintaining the desired pressure downstream.

  • Easy Maintenance:
    The valves have a compact design with a minimal number of moving parts. This simplifies maintenance tasks as the actuator internals, valve disc, and trim parts can be replaced without the need to remove the regulator from the pipeline.
  • Glandless Construction:
    The glandless construction of CR-Series valves eliminates gland leakage, making them ideal for applications requiring zero leakage. This design also improves sensitivity and repeatability, ensuring precise and reliable fluid pressure control.
  • Tight Shut-off Capability:
    These valves feature a special trim design that prevents wear and erosion of the seating. As a result, they offer excellent tight shut-off capability over a long working life.
  • Throttling Type Relief:
    The CR-Series valves are designed for smooth and sensitive throttling action. This means that they can effectively control the flow of fluid and minimize pressure surges during relief operations. The throttling action allows for precise adjustment of the valve’s opening, ensuring that pressure is relieved gradually and smoothly.
  • Low Pressure Buildup:
    These valves are designed to achieve the required flow with minimal pressure buildup. This means that they can effectively regulate the pressure without causing excessive pressure to increase downstream of the valve.
  • Reset Capability:
    The CR-Series valves offer better resetting capability compared to conventional relief valves. They relieve excess pressure by proportionately opening the valve, and once the pressure is reduced to the desired level, the valve can easily reset itself.

    Flange Standard: ANSI B16.5
    Body Ratings: 150#, 300# (Higher ratings available upon request)
  • End Connections:
    Screwed NPTF (National Pipe Tapered Fuel)
    Screwed BSPF (British Standard Pipe Parallel Fuel)
    Flanged connections as per ASME B16.5 standards
  • Set Pressure Range:
    0.4 to 10 kg/cm2 (Higher set pressure options available upon request)
  • Temperature Capabilities:
    -25°C to 175°C
