Key Achievements in Energy Conservation

  • Energy-Efficient Lighting: Replaced 232 CFL and MVL bulbs with 109 LED bulbs, cutting energy consumption from 12,864W to 3,056W.
  • Automated Air Conditioning (AC) Timers: Installed timers in office AC systems, saving 1,500 electricity units monthly by cycling ACs off for 15 minutes each hour. Additionally, all ACs have been upgraded to energy-efficient 5-star rated models.
  • Smart Street Lighting: Implemented automatic timers for streetlights to prevent energy wastage.
  • Improved Ventilation Efficiency: Upgraded ventilation systems by replacing traditional fans with HVLS (High Volume Low Speed) fans, optimizing energy use.
  • Solar Energy Expansion: Increased solar power capacity to 240 kW, with plans to reach 640 kW by November 2024. Solar energy now accounts for 35% of Nirmal’s energy needs, offsetting over 500,000 pounds of CO2 emissions annually.
  • Energy-Efficient Ceiling Fans: Replaced conventional ceiling fans in office spaces with BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) fans, achieving energy savings of approximately two-thirds.
  • Daylight Optimization: Installed transparent sheets in factory roofs, significantly reducing daytime electricity use by maximizing natural light.
