BP Series

The BP Series are general purpose self operated pressure relieving upstream pressure regulator suitable for controlling many kinds of fluids. Different soft sealing discs are available for various fluids for wide pressure and temperature range upto 200°C. The metal sealing surface used at higher temperature is carefully lapped to ensure shut off. These Back pressure Regulating Valves can be used for pressure setting lower than 1500 mmWcg (0.15 barg).

  • Easy to Maintain :
    Compact design with minimum number of moving parts. Actuator internals, valve disc & trim parts can be replaced without removing the regulator from the pipeline.
  • Glandless Construction :
    Where positive zero gland leakage is required, the design scores over conventional solutions such as bellow seal etc., as the gland itself is eliminated and hence there can’t be gland leakages. Glandless construction eliminates hysteresis, resulting in improvement of the sensitivity & repeatability of the valve.
  • Tight Shut Off Capability :
    Special trim design eliminates wear and corosion of seating, providing excellent tight shut off capability over long working life.
  • Tamper Resistant :
    An adjusting screw lock nut with protective cap is standard to discourage tampering with pressure setting.
  • Wide Range of Flow & Differential Pressure Capability :
    Wide range of body sizes and port diameters available to satisfy varied flow requirements. Regulators available for wide range of differential pressure from very high to low differential pressure with different actuator areas.
  • Immune to Downstream Pressure Variation :
    The set & performance of the valve remains unaltered even with wide variations of differential pressure / downstream pressure.
  • Body Size & Connections:
    ½”, ¾”, 1″,1½” and 2″
    ANSI B16.5 Class 150 & 300 ratings. (Higher sizes & rating on request)
  • Screwed End :
    NPTF : ½”, ¾”, 1″ ; BSPF : ½”, ¾”, 1″
  • Maximum Inlet Pressure :
    ANSI – 150# : 20 Barg.
    ANSI – 300# : 50 Barg.
    ANSI – 600# : 100 Barg.
  • Pressure Setting Adjustment :
    Possible throughout a spring range by turning the adjusting set screw.
  • Temperature Capabilities :
    -45°C to 200°C with different elastomeric parts.
  • Pressure Registration :
    Internal (Standard) or Upstream control line.
